Bird’s Love, also known as Bird's Love Publishing, provides editing services for children’s picture book writers. It also creates practical, everyday items with relatable, inspirational messaging that provide encouragement to writers and other creatives.
Our mission is to help writers meet their writing goals. Additionally, we strive to create products that provide the perfect setting for creativity and instill a constant mindset of inspiration, determination and energy to create and thrive.
Meet the Founder
Hello! My name is Starr Balmer-Chore, and I am the founder of Bird’s Love. I am also an editor of children's picture books and the author of the well-received children’s picture book, Scary, Scary Sasha. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, 18 years of editing and writing experience, and a love for writing and editing, I edit all types of picture book manuscripts and work closely with aspiring writers on helping them meet their writing goals. Furthermore, I’ve worked in the publishing, marketing, and media industries where I’ve written and edited news and feature stories, press releases, blogs, social media content, and marketing materials for various audiences.
As an author and picture book editor, I know how fun (and challenging) it can be to write, edit, and independently publish a children's picture book. Therefore, I strive to share my expertise in the most important area of publishing: writing the story! It can be the hardest task to accomplish. But with a little guidance, skill, focus, and encouragement along the way, I strongly believe anyone is capable of writing a children's picture book.
